3D and animation tech continues to break new ground with increasingly slick and sophisticated evolutions. One designer giddily seizing upon these developments is Daniel Bornmann, a German designer crafting “vibrant 3D visuals mixed with bold and experimental typography” for posters and cover artwork. Daniel also works at Duat Agency, a multi-threaded outfit working across the creative spectrum.

Daniel's mixed media posters feel big – like really big. And for good reason. The Berlin-based designer loves to “work inside the boundaries of the format by using the full space of my canvas”. This results in gorgeous environs, boasting an awe-inspiring and cinematic quality. “When it comes to 3D, I always like to create a captivating mood: organic, lively textures with a dramatic use of light in the scenery,” he explains. It’s the combination of classic Swiss design and the latest 3D methods in the VFX and gaming world that inspires him. “When thoughts form into ideas, the only thing that matters is whether I can technically translate them into reality,” he notes.
